Jill Francis
Dance Teacher


Information: Jill trained as a dancer and began her professional career at the age of thirteen with Danny La Rue in Queen Passionella at the Saville Theatre, London.
After a long career as a performer, working with such stars as Leslie Crowther, Arthur Askey, Dickie Henderson, Dora Bryan, Harry H. Corbett, Anita Harris, Morecombe & Wise, Roy Orbison and many more, she now
choreographs musicals, TV shows, opera, films and pantomimes and her work has taken her all over the world. For the last 10 years Jill has been associate choreographer and childrens director for Evolution Productions pantomimes at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford.
Alongside choreography Jill works as a freelance dance teacher and over the years has worked at The Arts Educational School, London, Central School of Speech and Drama, RADA, The Italia Conti Academy, London, Artts International, York, The Guildhall School of Music & Drama, The Guildford School of Acting, The National Theatre of Nairobi and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She regularly runs national and international musical theatre workshops, and is a Fellow of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
