Gordon has directed over 120 professional productions and was twice nominated Best Director by London Theatre Critics. He was Artistic Director of the Oxford Playhouse Company (then the leading national touring company) from 1974-84, and has been Artistic Director of the Traverse Theatre Company in Edinburgh, the Stables Theatre in Manchester and the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, Canada. His productions have been seen all over the world and he has taught drama at twelve universities in the UK, the US, Italy and Canada, directed and taught at RADA and produced and directed for Granada Television. From 1996 to 2002 he was Principal of the Guildford School of Acting and was subsequently Director of Drama at the University of Oklahoma. He hosts a daily radio program for US National Public Radio stations. |
