We will enable you to understand and play classical text - and that will give you a unique understanding of modern text.

In addition, we will equip you with the ability to use your body and your voice to express whatever you want, safely and powerfully.  We will develop your singing and movement skills to their highest potential.  We will instill an understanding of how theatre came to be where it is and inspire you to take it further.  And we will enhance your ability to express yourself through camera technique and through musical styles.

All this in a three-year course in the beautiful Somerset countryside with cheap accommodation and superb teachers who work continuously in the profession - amounting to an intensive 3,400-hour education on a par with others accredited by national organisations.

MTS is housed in purpose-built accommodation in the centre of the market town of Shepton Mallet.

At the core of the building is the 270-seat Academy Theatre with sprung floor and equipped to the highest professional standards.

It is surrounded by teaching studios and a media studio

Students are housed (if they choose) in secure and brand new apartments with all modern facilities within from the Academy building.
